This is why we are organizing a Latino Film Festival in Albuquerque.

Albuquerque is a relaxed but quietly interesting town that deserves a lot more attention. In a city where families stay for generations, things don't change all that quickly. But every once in awhile, surprises might pop up.

As you already know, we haven't had an Ibero-American film festival in the past. This town has strong roots in the culture brought by settlers from Spain, and continues to be influenced by immigrants from Mexico and Latin America. When listening to music or enjoying dance performances in Albuquerque, you'll often find an unmistakable Hispanic and Latino influence. We want to be at the forefront of the movement to increase cultural opportunities for the entire Latino community and bring Latinos and non-Latinos together to share common experiences.

We are fortunate enough to have a large community of film enthusiasts which deserves to be developed and promoted. Let's bring in new films and filmmakers every year. Won't it be exciting to renovate New Mexico's reputation as a top film location in the country? ¡Cine Magnífico! unveils the next generation of Spanish and Latin American film legends. Featuring first-time filmmakers and established masters alike, join us for award-winning comedies, romances, documentary films and dramatic masterpieces, with some of the riskiest and innovative films of the year.

For us, Albuquerque is ready to discover, support and inspire Latino film artists from the U.S and around the world.

Do you feel it?
