Instituto Cervantes, the National Hispanic Cultural Center, Bernalillo County and the University of New Mexico Latin American & Iberian Institute are proud to celebrate Spanish and Latin American Culture through the third annual Albuquerque Latino Film Festival iCine Magnífico! This year’s film lineup at ¡Cine Magnífico! 2015 is exciting and thoughtfully selected. It showcases films from across South America, Central America, México, the Caribbean and Spain.
As Albuquerque’s Latino Film Festival, iCine Magnífico! is proud to hold a position of great importance within our community. As many of us know and have felt throughout our lives, the experience of cinema and film has the ability to lift us, to join us, to inspire us and to expose us to an abundance of places, cultures, languages, characters, and ways of life in the Hispanic world. In particular, these films are handselected with great care and attention for our local community. The film selection reflects what matters to us here in Albuquerque, and these issues are presented through a view out into the world that connects with us and influences us, just as we connect with and influence it in return.
Also, through our festival, we engage with the greater local community comprised of people from businesses, organizations and educational and cultural institutions. As we gather to enjoy these films, we experience this mutual network of support. ¡Cine Magnífico! is a wonderful bridge that joins connects us to each other in amazing ways, and we look forward to continuing that tradition going forward.
Thank you for supporting our third annual Latino Film Festival!
