Welcome/Bienvenido to the 4th Annual ¡Cine Magnífico! Albuquerque Latino Film Festival.

Instituto Cervantes is proud to present ¡Cine Magnífico! to the New Mexican community.

¡Cine Magnífico!'s vision is to present the newest films by and about Latinos to promote our culture through film and enrich our local art community. We showcase a diverse set of films, from award-winning to local and up-and-coming filmmakers. We also offer year round film programming.

Our team has selected a lineup of films which perfectly illustrates enriching points of view about emerging issues and topics that shape the current Hispanic-Latino cultures and landscapes. This years’ screenings will take place at both the National Hispanic Cultural Center and the Guild Cinema. This year’s festival features Spain as the most represented country with our opening night film “The Bride”, as well as “Capture the Flag” and “The Open Door”. Argentinian filmmakers also have a strong presence, with first-time screenings in New Mexico with “Truman”, a winner of 6 Goya Awards in 2016, “Esteros” and “How to Win Enemies." Mexico brings up the globally-emerging topic of immigration with “Club Frontera”. New Mexico also represents with a set of four quality short films that highlight the works of some of our local artists.
